A Look in the Studio

This is my main lathe, a JET 1642EVS.  I highly recommend a lathe with electronic speed control; especially if you plan on doing large, green turnings.  I have a smaller Rikon lathe I use for small projects and demonstrations.  You can see that one by clicking on the "Contact" link.

This is a great shot of my Kelton Hollowing Rig.  This makes deep turning & vessels safe.  It is bolted to the lathebed on the right, and the cutting edge sits on the toolrest.  The arm on the top holds a laser; to guide thickness.
